Mr. Mohamed H. Al-Mady first joined Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) in 1976 as a chemical engineer, and has served in a number of positions, rising in 1998 to vice-chairman and chief executive. Mr. Al-Mady also serves as the chairman of the SABIC Innovative Plastics Supervisory Board and the SABIC Europe B.V. Supervisory Board.
In addition, Mr. Al-Mady is the chairman and managing director of the Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Company (SAFCO) and chairman of the Gulf Petrochemicals & Chemicals Association (GPCA). He is a board member of the International Advisory Board of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) and of Aluminum Bahrain (ALBA). He is a member of the U.S.-Saudi Business Council; the Economic Offset Committee; and the International Business Council of the World Economic Forum. Mr. Al-Mady is a fellow of the London Business School.
Mr. Al-Mady graduated from the University of Colorado in 1973 with a bachelor's of science degree, and received a master's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Wyoming in 1976.
