To develop KAUST, through entrepreneurial and innovative activities
To nurture globally significant partnerships and collaborations between KAUST and thought leaders of industry
To offer flexibility to accommodate tenants of various sizes and research types while creating a research community within the Research Park connected and interfacing as one with the university

To conduct scientific research that will lead to discoveries and inventions and sponsor creative and talented international and Saudis to support development of the national economy in a special environment that provides higher education programs in strategic fields
To promote industry collaboration
To foster an environment for the development of a knowledge-based economy
To stimulate technology transfer and (industrial sponsored research, while supporting the KAUST mission
